Behold The Arturia PolyBrute 12

The original PolyBrute has become a bit of a favourite, a feat of engineering. With three oscillators, twin filters, mod matrix, Morphee X/Y/Z and ribbon controls made it a unique and powerful instrument.

Today they release the new PolyBrute 12 which takes the essential core synthesis engine and doubles the polyphony. They also added a new custom keybed which as well as Poly Aftertouch has another FullTouch mode adding even more expression and control. As we understand it this means poly aftertouch control is applied during the full travel of the key for a more dynamic and sensitive range.

We'll have to see exactly what this means in practice - we have a Superbooth appointment booked with Seb Rochard - the product manager.

The new PolyBrute 12 is certainly a big machine with all those extra voices, there's new cooling vents that make it look pretty serious. Bearing in mind that the bi-timbral operation also means up to six voices per part - there's a batch of 480 new presets on board showing that off.
