Superbooth 2023: Flame - Fire Drum Machine

US Flexibly structured drum module      12/05/23

We spoke to Felix from Flame about their new eight-channel drum synthesizer, Fire. The drum machine currently has nine algorithms, and while it is virtual analog, it offers an extensive range of parameters that allow for manipulation of click level, click envelopes, transient samples, and resonance, among other features. It also offers a unique advantage of not having a fixed structure and allowing for eight bass drums, for example, and you can morph parameters for happy accidents. Fire has a global user CV, and a total of eight audio outs. It can be controlled via sensors, LFOs, foot pedals, and MIDI.

Flame's new sequencer, Takt, can be used in combination with Fire via MIDI, freeing up the gate trigger outs and CV outs. Fire can be used with triggers and MIDI concurrently, if you enjoy things getting messy.

Fire Available July 2023. Price: 490 Euros
