SnapBeat Sampler Now Shipping

US Simple lo-fi hardware unit      17/04/24

There are so many samplers around at the moment, many packed with features - the Snapbeat is a simple alternative defined by the maker as a barebones sampler. It's aimed at lofi beatmakers and while it doesn't have a built in sequencer, it does provide MIDI input for external devices. More info here:

This is the final version of SnapBeat, the simple lo-fi hardware sampler.

It's not a complicated beat maker but a barebone sampler. It doesn't have so many knobs, controls, menus and 100 pages instruction manual like commercial professional hardware. Its simplicity makes you be immersed to sounds and its limitation stimulates your creativity. More than anything, you can feel the joy of playing with sounds.

It's for hobbyists and DIY music producers especially in Lo-fi hip-hop genre. The sampled sounds are very Lo-fi because of the analog voice recorder chips used to record sounds.
