Monosynth Optimised For Bass

Tonebytes release The Reese Machine VSTi for Windows 18-Sep-09
Monosynth Optimised For Bass

Tonebytes tell us that The Reese Machine is a monophonic subtractive synthesizer optimized for creating deep, rich, vibrating bass for various kinds of electronic music, especially Drum'n'Bass, Speed Garage, Techstep, etc.

The synthesizer's architecture consists of two oscillators with four wave forms (SINE, SAW, TRIANGLE and PULSE), and also two multifunction low-frequency oscillators (LFOs). Each oscillator is equipped with an Octave Shifter and Fine Tuning. In addition, while in FM mode, the second oscillator can modulate the first.

Pricing and Availability:

$14.95

I'm going to be perfectly honest. I respect software developers, however this is bringing nothing unique to the world of virtual instruments

Cody, your comments may be accurate but not all products can or even need to be cutting edge. At this price the Reese may suit somebody's needs without needing to justify it's own existence (it may even sound fantastic). I don't know much about tonebytes products, but at the risk of belittling them (which I have no intention of doing and excuse my ignorance if they already have a library of fantastic products) maybe they are cutting their teeth on this product and are destined for great things.

Some really cool little gems can occasionally be found from some of the smaller companies so power to them and may they always be around.
