SCHERTLER SA, Swiss manufacturer of high quality acoustic amplification systems, has announced the unveiling of its revolutionary new guitar sensor, LYDiA, at this year's Frankfurt Musikmesse (24th-27th March 2010).
LYDiA is the result of over 10 years research and development by SCHERTLER in the field of under-saddle systems. Based on the company's "air chamber" technology, LYDiA reproduces the true sound of the instrument via a revolutionary, ultra linear condenser microphone with solid diaphragm and integrated electronic settings. The sensor's hi-tech miniaturized construction and effective shielding make it extremely safe and reliable in all types of performance situation. The result is an impressive natural sound and a dramatically improved dynamic.
LYDiA is available in different versions for steel / nylon string guitars, for onboard installation (on the shoulder of the instrument) or with external pre-amplifier. The technology is also compatible with previous SCHERTLER under-saddle systems, offering a practical "upgrade" option for guitarists who want to get the best from their instrument.
SCHERTLER'S new high quality sensor for Banjo also makes an appearance at Frankfurt. Based on the manufacturer's renowned DYN technology, the electro-dynamic transducer is specially designed to give both a natural and reliable reproduction of the instrument's complex sound characteristics.
Frankfurt visitors will also have an opportunity to see SCHERTLER's "new look" amplifiers (UNICO and DAVID) and active loudspeakers (BASS and SIDE) as well as the recently released BASIK-ROAD pack. This features the manufacturer's innovative BASIK pick-up packaged with two separate phantom power adapters for ultimate flexibility in virtually any recording or performance situation.
SCHERTLER is distributed exclusively in the UK and Eire by Systems Workshop .
