Washburn unveil Woodline acoustic series with extremely light open pore finish 24-Jan-11
Washburn Guitars has announced the addition of the Woodline acoustic guitar series to its lineup. These mahogany, rosewood, and exotic wood acoustics feature open pore matte finishes and solid spruce or cedar tops. Here's what Washburn has to say...
The defining feature of the Woodline series is the use of an extremely light open pore finish. The finish enables the wood to breathe and dramatically improves the tone, resonance and sustain of the instrument. The Woodline Series are available in dreadnought or grand auditorium body styles that feature solid spruce or cedar tops supported by quarter sawn scalloped spruce bracing with custom wood inlay rosettes. Back and side woods available include mahogany, flame mahogany & rosewood.
Optional Fishman Isys+ 301T or Fishman Presys+ 501T electronics are available on select cutaway models for superb tonal control and flexibility when plugged in. Additionally, all the models feature a matte finish mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with maple dot inlays, rosewood bridge, and mahogany or rosewood bindings. Tuning stability is assured with die cast tuners that feature beautiful wood tuning pegs. All of these features combine to produce an affordable, unique, versatile and striking series of acoustic guitars that sound great whether at home, on stage, or in the studio.
