Yeah, I get what you mean by that. When I thought about it, parts of the layout does seem a little similar as well, but of course the purposes are completely different.
Can't wait to try some interesting mappings with the Dictator-mode. It would probably be a nice addition to The Finger and the various Traktor's 12-effects. Maybe I'll even have to give Artillery a second chance. The more the merrier!
Haha, the actual product doesn't seem similar, just the approach to the advertisement! With the whole add being sung by someone british, and loads of cool effects both visually and audibly. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but yeah, don't think I meant the product! I absolutely love NI too! And yeah, like you said this looks interesting so I will have to grab a demo too :)
I don't really see the connection, apart from being effects with knob-options.
I am a huge fan of NI and I use barely anything else (apart from Ableton as a DAW), and I have no relationship with Sugar Bytes (apart from hearing about the whole The Finger versus Artillery-debacle), but this did seem rather interesting. I hope to play with the demo soon, and if it's good enough; buy it, just have even more sound-mangling live :3
