Ben Sherman V.I.P. (Very Important Plectrum) is back. Amongst the musicians donating their plectrums for charity auction this year are Keith Richards, Stereophonics, The Cult, Paramore, Ronnie Wood, Paul Weller, and Coldplay.
"We are extremely proud to introduce the Second Edition of Ben Sherman’s Very Important Plectrums (V.I.P); an online auction of plectrums donated by iconic artists, with all proceeds going to charity." The clothing company announced.
There is also a mystery guitar being auctioned, what we do know is that it is a bespoke Gibson SG - "a one-off masterpiece".
Here's what Ben Sherman have to say:
"The 2009 V.I.P. initiative was an overwhelming success. With signed Plectrums donated by music legends from Franz Ferdinand and Kings of Leon to The Klaxons and Biffy Clyro to name but a few, they were presented in limited edition collectors kits and raised thousands of pounds in vital funds for a delighted Nordoff Robbins.
"We want to make VIP bigger and better! This year, we are teaming up with two charitable partners. Trekstock, whilst still in its infancy, has been making big waves and big money for some very worthy causes: striving to support young people living with cancer through collaborative efforts with the industries and stars of music and fashion; and Lifebeat, a non-profit organisation dedicated to using the power of music and the music industry to help educate young people about HIV/AIDS prevention."
