Will Anybody Buy A New Gibson Firebird X?

I think it's already safe to say that this is definitely not the most popular guitar that Gibson have released, judging by reaction from forums and Youtube comments.

That said, this video does provide a good idea as to what the Gibson Firebird X can do. It can tune itself, like a Variax; you can plug it into a computer, like a Variax; and it comes with built in effects presets, which by plugging into a Pod, you can do with a Variax.

It also comes with a price tag of $5,570, so not at all like the Variax in that respect, which you can pick up for around £1000.
