Larrivée Guitars and UK/ROI distributor Sound Technology Ltd have announce a limited edition run of -02 Series models which they describe as all-solid wood Larrivée acoustics of exceptional quality.
Available in three body shapes - Larrivée (L-02), Dreadnought (D-02) and OM (OM-02), the -02 Series is built in the same Canadian factory as the Larrivée -03 models. The all solid wood construction features solid Canadian Sitka Spruce tops and solid African Sapele back and sides.
The specifications of the -02 Series include a handfit dove-tail neck joint, three-piece mahogany neck, Canadian Maple body binding, multi strip rosette, symmetrical X-bracing, rounded Larrivee headstock with rosewood overlay, chrome tuners (18:1 ratio) and traditional Larrivée tortoise style pickguard.
All -02 models also ship with a Larrivée hard-shell case.
Company founder Jean Larrivée, had this to say, "The -02 offers the same hand-build processes and solid wood construction as our standard line. With its pro-sound solid sitka spruce top, the resonance and balanced sonic qualities of the -02 will only improve with age."
