If you've got a set of EMG pickups on any of your guitars, then this competition is definitely worth a shot. And what's more, it'll be judged by Metallica:

Prize Details

Enter the EMG video contest where the band members of Metallica pick the winner! Submit your video of an original Metallica song playing your EMG-equipped instrument and you could win a monster $4,000 prize package and get your video in front of Metallica!

Contestants must use YouTube for the contest upload. Videos must be 3 minutes or less and can be solo guitar or bass or an ensemble. Your video must have the following in the title to be eligible: “EMG Metallica Challenge”. PLEASE READ THE RULES FOR COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS.

Contestants must have an EMG-equipped instrument to enter. Winner outside the continental United States may be required to pay shipping and import fees.

The grand prize winner will receive (1) Randall Amplifiers Kirk Hammett KH120RHS ½ stack, (1) ESP LTD James Hetfield Snakebyte guitar, (1) EMG James Hetfield signature JH Set, (1) Kirk Hammett Signature Dunlop KH Wah, (1) pack of 72 Dunlop James Hetfield Black Fang Picks, (1) 6 pack of Dunlop Rob Trujillo Icon Series Bass Strings and (1) Red Monkey Bootleg guitar/bass strap. The prize package is valued at $4,000.

Contest Instructions

Featured player(s) must have EMG Pickups in the instruments used in the video. Videos must be no longer than 3 minutes. Upload your video to YouTube using the entry form or link to the video already in your YouTube channel. YOU MUST USE YOUTUBE FOR THE UPLOAD TO BE ELIGIBLE! Please review the directions for complete instructions.

Prize Eligibility

Only persons who are at least 18 years of age can enter.
