EVH Announces New 50 Watt 5150III Head And Cabs

EVH has announced the release of the latest breed of 5150 amplifiers, great news for fans of Eddie Van Halen! Here's what EVH have to say:

"Loaded with pure EVH sound and power, the new EVH 5150III 50-Watt Head is a scaled-down version of its acclaimed 100-watt big brother—the mighty 5150III head—with many of the same great features. Its smaller size and portability make it a perfect amp for players who want arena volume, tone and performance in a compact package. It pairs perfectly with the compact new EVH 5150III 2×12 and 1×12 cabinets, in addition to the current EVH 5150III 4×12 cabinet.

"The 5150III 50-Watt Head is a three-channel amp. Channels one and two share EQ, with gain, low, mid, high and volume controls; channel three has gain, low, mid, high, volume and master presence and resonance controls. Other features include selectable impedance (4, 8 or 16 ohms), dual parallel speaker output jacks, effects loop, headphone jack, line out and black hardware. Included four-button footswitch has 1/4” input jack and also accommodates MIDI footswitching. The amp is available in black and ivory textured vinyl covering with black EVH-striped grille.

"The new EVH 5150III 2×12 and 1×12 cabinets are the perfect companions for the new EVH 5150III 50-Watt Head.

"The 5150III 2×12 cabinet is rated at 16 ohms and is loaded with dual 30-watt Celestion® Heritage speakers; it is exactly half the cubic size (by volume) of its 4×12 big brother, with a head-mounting mechanism and tilt-back legs. The 5150III 1×12 cabinet is also rated at 16 ohms and is loaded with a single 30-watt Celestion® Heritage speaker; it is exactly 25 percent of the cubic size (by volume) of its 4×12 big brother. Both cabinets are available in black and ivory."
