High-End Recording In The Palm of Your Hand

TASCAM has introduced the DR-100mkII 24 bit/96kHz linear PCM recorder. They tell us that this new rugged recorder offers high-end recording features to musicians and engineers who demand more from their portable recorder.

It features four built-in microphones, two cardioid and two omnidirectional. A pair of XLR microphone inputs with phantom power welcomes pro-grade condenser microphones, and line in and out connectors are also provided. The new and improved version of the DR-100 adds balanced line ins, S/PDIF digital inputs, locking connectors and more. TASCAM believes that all these premium features make DR-100mkII perfect for high-end portable recording, DSLR filmmaking and post production effects gathering.

Paul Jenkins, Senior Vice President for TEAC America, told us, "The original DR-100 has been a great success, but after listening to our customers' inputs, we improved the already successful DR-100 to include great features such as balanced XLR line input, locking XLR connectors, improved unidirectional and omnidirectional microphones and much more."
