Fender Introduces New Bassman Heads and Cabinets

Fender Bass Amplification has introduced two new Bassman heads and four amazing new cabinets to go with them. They say that the Super Bassman and Bassman 100T heads deliver the ultimate in Fender bass tone and power to new Bassman 8x10", 6x10", 4x10" and 1x15" speaker cabinets. Here's all the details in Fender's own words...
One of the most powerful and versatile bass amps Fender has ever created, the Super Bassman is a stadium-level 300-watt tube head designed for the biggest shows and the largest stages, with enormous Fender bass sound and sparkling vintage Fender looks. Perfect for stage and studio alike, its dual-channel design uses modern technology to maximize classic technology, with classic Fender mid-'60s "blackface" styling and a wealth of innovative features on the front and rear panels. Features include a tube preamp (two 12AX7s) and power amp (one 12AX7, one 12AT7, six 6550s); Vintage channel that delivers the full, warm sound of a classic Fender passive tone stack; Overdrive channel that delivers the aggressive and responsive sound of a modern active tone stack (choose between channels with included footswitch); rear-panel Fender Automatic Bias system that constantly monitors and re-biases tubes for perfect performance and alerts you when service is required; speaker output switch that can be set to "Mute" to turn speaker off and record silently using pre or post preamp tone from the XLR output; impedance switch (8, 4 or 2 ohms) and master volume control with pull mute. Powerful, innovative and versatile for stage and studio alike, the Bassman 100T is a professional-level 100-watt tube head. It too produces enormous Fender bass sound and features the same great classic Fender look, and it too has a dual-channel design with a wealth of great front and back features. The Bassman 100T is powered by a tube preamp with two 12AX7s and a power amp with one 12AT7 and four 6L6s. Like the Super Bassman, it has a dual-channel design (Vintage and Overdrive), rear-panel Fender Automatic Bias system, impedance switch (8, 4 or 2 ohms) and master volume with pull mute. The Bassman 100T also features an XLR output that delivers overdriven power amp tone (great for recording) and a rear-panel Output Power switch that lets you record at full 100-watt power, quieter 25-watt power, or silently via internal power soak (which captures the signal post-power amp); Fender's Bassman 810 and Bassman 610 cabinets deliver the massive barrage of full bass sound you'd expect from 8x10" and 6x10" cabinets designed for the biggest shows and the largest stages, all with rock-solid strength and great vintage-style Fender looks that complement the heads. The cabinets are respectively loaded with eight and six 10" Fender Special Design Eminence® stamped-frame speakers with neodymium magnets. Both feature a compression driver horn with attenuator, plywood enclosure with classic mid-'60s Fender "blackface" styling, ¼" and Speakon connectors, fixed casters for hand-truck operation and built-in heavy-duty handles for easier transport, and rear glide rails for smoother loading. The Bassman 810 is rated at 2,000 watts program (1,000 watts continuous) at 4 ohms; the Bassman 610 is rated at 1,600 watts program (800 watts continuous) at 4 ohms. The Bassman 410 cabinet delivers the full, tight and punchy bass sound you'd expect from a 4x10" enclosure, again with the same great matching looks and rock-solid strength as its 810 and 610 brothers. It has four 10" Fender Special Design Eminence® stamped-frame speakers with neodymium magnets, a compression driver horn with attenuator, plywood enclosure with classic mid-'60s Fender "blackface" styling, ¼" and Speakon connectors, removable casters and spring-loaded heavy-duty handles for easier transport. Rated at 1,000 watts program (500 watts continuous) at 8 ohms. The new Bassman 115 cabinet has a single 15" Fender Special Design Eminence® stamped-frame, neodymium-magnet speaker and is rated at 700 watts program (350 watts continuous) at 8 ohms.
