WNAMM12: Pure Filth In A Stompbox

Blackstar unleashes HT Metal Pedal, the latest addition to their tube-driven pedal line   19-Jan-12

WNAMM12: Pure Filth In A Stompbox

Blackstar Amplification is adding the HT Metal / Pure Valve Filth pedal to its HT Pedal Series. They tell us that, inspired by Blackstar's popular HT-Dual distortion pedal, the new HT Metal takes gain to the next level, providing access to the "Dark Side" of tube gain. As with other models in the HT Series of Gain, Overdrive, Boost and Distortion pedals, the HT-Metal is powered by true 300V high-voltage vacuum tube circuitry and offers cascaded tube gain stages and authentic tube amp response.
Two channels and three modes provide extreme versatility. Each ultra-high gain channel offers its own gain and volume controls. Additionally, Channel 1 is equipped with a Clean/Overdrive switch. The three-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) is tied to Blackstar's patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature), which re-voices the entire tone stack for an expansive tonal range.
Housed in a rugged metal case, the HT Metal provides silent switching and a high-integrity buffered bypass. There are two outputs. The first is designed to connect to an amplifier or to the guitarist's other pedals. The second output features an emulated speaker response, which is ideal for recording, or for connecting to a mixing console, either on stage or in the studio.
Pricing and Availability:
