"i think you should get some emg's" oh hell no, i just pickeup up an esp eclipse 2 but i put seymour duncans in it right away. emgs suck balls
sounds like he was about to play stairway to heaven and why that bit is thrown in is because, while it is a good classic led zeppelin song, it is one of the most overplayed songs ever and its just so cliche for a guitarist to play at this point in time haha
"It sounds too muddy" "I think you should get some EMGs" I rest my case, contradictions anger me
"is this organic wood?" lmfao

Apart from: GUITAR SOOLOOO, all else is dead on.. Haha..
and the oscar goes to...
"muddy" is called the brown sound, made famous by EVH.
i know hendrix was very influential to the progress of guitar. i only think its stupid when people still, to this day, say he was and is the greatest ever and that he could do things people still cant reproduce. its just ignorant and untrue. techniques have been invented AFTER he died. and in the 40 or so years that hes been gone, naturally people have come around that are better. thats all that gets me off about jimi. and yes, those pickups really helped with micks tone and it was a good move
you can think hendrix completely sucks at guitar too, as long as you respect his significance to the guitar world. i have great respect for mick after seeing his vid on his blackouts. duncan wanted them to be able to pickup more tonal dynamics and more of the guitars natural sound, and they did. and when mick tried some he loved them but wanted to take it a step further and go for an even more complex tone that will be more responsive and it happend. props to him. not ignorant in the slightest.
i love schecter so much. and yeah i could have been a lot more specific. i do have my own skeptic views of hendrix but not in ignorant ways that a lot of people i know have. i used to not be a fan of ibanez but recently i played a friends mick thompson sig and im going to give ibanez another chance.
hey man, as long as your not on of those kids whos like, why do they still even make guitars with less than 24 frets now? or malmsteen can play way better than hendrix, why is hendrix so famous? then you are welcome to your opinions. i wouldve been more clear in the first message but i only had 500 letters. all that stuff would make a good guitar but it would have to be handled right. like i think the ibanez js2400 is DAMN awesome, and others too like schecter the blackjack sls c-1 fr-s.
You forgot "I used to know how to play that..."
I say 80% of the things in this video every day......
i said the wrong combinations can lead to bad results. if i pick up a guitar with all but one of those preferred features we listed, i would still say its a very good guitar. and it isnt malmsteens spead that attracts me. there are millions of super shredders out there. his use of real music theory and structure is what i love about him and his ability to bring it all back to symphonic music with great guitar
