Aguilar Amplification releases the AG 4P-60 P-Bass pickup 29-Feb-12
Aguilar Amplification has announced the release of the AG 4P-60 pickup. They say that, as a direct replacement for Fender Precision and other P-style basses, the AG 4P-60 pickup brings the big, round tone of the early '60s to today's instruments.
Aguilar tells us that the AG 4P-60 pickup is modeled after the pickup from Aguilar President, Dave Boonshoft's personal 1964 Precision bass and is wound in Aguilar's NYC factory, using all the period correct parts, including Heavy Formvar wire and Alnico V magnets. The company believes that it has just the right amount of mid-range 'nose' to cut through a loud rock band and give all the deep support one would expect from a great 60's P-bass pickup.
