What happens when you give a monkey a synthesizer?  Or several monkeys in fact. As an exercise for promoting Volt - a Swedish electronic music festival its genius, though I cant help worry for the monkeys and the synths, some of those beauties take a full 240volts. Thats the synths, not the monkeys of course.

So, if you want to what happens when they gave monkeys and some other species of animal access to six well-known synths, including a TR 909, a Yamaha Keytar, a Bleeptronic, and a Casiotone CT-360.

The result is pretty hilarious, the baboon is worth watching a few times just for the sheer anger (playing Casiotones can induce anger).

The makers of the video wanted to put to bed rumours that anybody can play synth, apparently, but all they've really done is given a baboon a taste of being in a synth band, and you just know that they will rise up and write a number one.
