Eric Clapton, possibly the most decorated guitarist of all time, has announced that he will tour next year in celebration of 50 years as a professional musician. A new album is also scheduled for release in early 2013 prior to the tour.
At the moment dates have only been announced for England, no plans have been mentioned for the rest of the world, but that's not to say it isn't on the cards.
Eric Clapton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not only as a solo artist, but also with the Yardbirds and with Cream. He is, quite frankly, a legend, and it is a well known fact that 99.56% of all arguments between guitarists are over whether Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton is the best guitarist of all time.
If you are salivating at the very thought of seeing slowhand in action, then we've brought you the dates and venues below so you can find the gig nearest to you.
