Former guitarist with The Bongos, and acclaimed solo artist in his own right, Richard Barone, has recorded a video at the Gibson Showroom in NYC.
The video appears on Music Radar's Youtube channel and shows Richard Barone talking through his favourite Gibson guitars, and describing the unique appeal of each.
He starts with the Gibson Les Paul Special, and describes his transition from using an arsenal of 16 Rickenbackers to jumping ship and using a new collection of Gibsons in 1984.
Barone describes how he loves the sound of the P-90 pickups used in his Gibson Les Paul Special, and also mentions his love for the yellow finish, which was designed by the guitar company to look good on black and white television.
