Don't you just love the sound of smoking-hot lap steel blues in the morning? Seymour Duncan have tested out their SSL-3T 'Hot for Strat' pickup in a lap steel guitar, and it sounds as authentic as a juke joint jive.
It's got a certain bite to it that gives it more of a blues sound than country sound, but the Seymour Duncan SSL-3T can clean up pretty nice and get some cool ambient sounds too.
Whack a bit of reverb and analog delay on that, and you've got the post rock movement in the form a lap steel.
