Want An SG? Choose Your Decade...
The SG Future Tribute

Gibson USA is celebrating 2013 as the Year of Les Paul, and is blowing it up big with a new series of decade-dedicated Tribute SGs, each of which honors the artistry and innovation of inventor and guitarist Les Paul by capturing the essence of a great SG equipped with components from one of four different eras.  Gibson says that all embody the full magic of this legendary guitar design, but are stripped down for improved value and no-nonsense performance. Here's what they have to say about each model:

The SG '50s Tribute represents the look, feel, and tone of the set-neck, double-cutaway solidbody as it would have appeared equipped with features of the 1950s. As such, the SG '50s Tribute carries a pair of screaming P-90 pickups, the fat Gibson single-coil that has been beloved for more than six decades, along with the comfortably rounded neck profile characteristic of that decade. Gibson's most acclaimed hardware set improves playability and offers precise tuning and intonation. And, like all Les Paul and SG 2013 Tribute Series guitars, the SG '50s Tribute is available upgraded with Min-ETune™ automated "Robot" tuners for a nominal upcharge. The SG '50s Tribute looks great in your choice of Heritage Cherry, Vintage Sunburst, or Ebony Black finish, all finished Vintage Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.

The SG '60s Tribute captures the look, feel, and tone of the legendary original SG Standards of 1960s. Like the first SG Standards, the SG '60s Tribute carries a pair of PAF-style humbucking pickups, the most revered pickup ever created, along with the fast and comfortable slim neck profile characteristic of the start of that decade. Gibson's most acclaimed hardware set ensures smooth playability and offers precise tuning and intonation. And, like all Les Paul and SG 2013 Tribute Series guitars, the Les Paul '60s Tribute is available upgraded with Min-ETune™ automated "Robot" tuners for a nominal upcharge. The SG '60s Tribute looks great in your choice of Heritage Cherry, Vintage Sunburst, or Ebony Black finish, all finished with Vintage Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.

The SG '70s Tribute captures the look, feel, and tone of a heavy sounding evolution of this legendary double-cutaway solidbody, the SG of the 1970s. Like many SGs of the era of heavy rock, the SG '70s Tribute carries a pair of high-output humbucking pickups for unparalleled overdrive tones along with the characteristic '70s neck profile with volute. Gibson's most acclaimed hardware set ensures smooth playability and offers precise tuning and intonation. And, like all Les Paul and SG 2013 Tribute Series guitars, the Les Paul '70s Tribute is available upgraded with Min-ETune™ automated "robot" tuners for a nominal upcharge. The SG '70s Tribute looks great in your choice of Heritage Cherry, Vintage Sunburst, or Ebony Black finish, all in Vintage Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.

The SG Future Tribute captures the look, feel, and tone of the guitar world's most legendary double-cutaway solidbody, and equips it for the player of the future, while making it available today. Primed for optimum playability and versatility, the SG Future Tribute carries a pair of "zebra-coil" '57 Classic™ humbucking pickups for a blend of vintage warmth and contemporary articulation, along with a superbly comfortable custom asymmetrical neck profile. Gibson's acclaimed bridge and tailpiece team up with futuristic Steinberger™ gearless tuners to ensure smooth playability and precise tuning and intonation. And, like all Les Paul and SG 2013 Tribute Series guitars, the SG Future Tribute is available upgraded with Min-ETune™ automated "robot" tuners for a nominal upcharge.
