Novation Bass Station II - World Exclusive In Depth

There was a lot of interest in the Novation Bass Station II when it was announced just prior to Musik MESSE.

We were lucky enough to get a look at the unit at the show, but honestly, the firmware was not up and running and the folks we were talking to had literally only just just seen the unit (one of only two in existence) themselves - net result was probably not all it could be.

Fortunately for us, Novation were keen to give us another opportunity to see the new analog monosynth in the flesh in the altogether calmer and more forensic environment of our own studios. An extra bonus being we got time with Nick Bookman -  a long time Novation guy who is also deep into the development of the instrument and knows it intimately.

As a result, we got to see and hear much more about the synthesis capabilities of the new Bass Station II.

We recommend listening on studio monitors, or headphones -  there are bass frequencies in here that won't be audible on laptop speakers.

The Bass Station II is available around June (ish) at £399.
