Microsoft Limited Edition Surface 2 Music Creation System

Two new tablets, lots of possibilities   24-Sep-13

Microsoft's initial Surface realease was accompanied by  a lot of hooha and blanket TV advertising featuring a host of pretty young things. Even though the hardware was kind of neat,  it still wasn't enough to get us to buy in significant numbers.

With the Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro, the hardware has been souped up - with a reported 75% extra battery life on the Surface 2 Pro and some cool accessories to to with.

The RemixProject is a praticularly interesting one, with a custom, limited edition, clip on control surface designed to work with music applications on the Surface 2:

But it does bode well for some interesting accessories coming along and once again proves that music creation applications spearhead the adoption of new technology. Indeed the boffins have been reaching out to young designers to come up with other click-on accessories:
