Handsonic HPD-20 TB303 MC202 Analog Jam

More vintage Roland kit than I've seen in a long time   07-Nov-13

Vintage analogue synth collector Stephen Williams has been at it for 20 years, his collection of what looks like mainly Roland Kit adorns the wall and surfaces of his studio - that System 100M is to die for.

In this video he hooks up the new Handsonic HPD-20 drum pad to a couple of MC202 Micro Composers and a TB303 - its a Shamanesque 303 romp with plenty of delicious wallpaper - plus cat to look at. Stephen demonstrates the sampling capabillities of the HDP-20 by triggering a bunch of SH-1 samples along with his other machines.

He says:

First play with new Roland HPD20. i recorded sounds from my Roland SH1 synth and loaded these sounds into the HDP20 via USB stick. Then synced TB303 with an msy2 midi to din sync converter and multi tracked this into Logic. Then counter melodies are from an MC202 also synced via the msy2. I thought it might be fun to see how well i could combine 2 classic Roland machines from the 80s with a brand new product from the same manufacturer. Hope you Enjoy!!
