NAMM Awards: Top 10 Best Guitar Amplifiers From The Show in 2014

We wish we could have taken ALL of these guitar amps home with us   13-Feb-14

9. Blackstar ID Core Stereo

You may notice a pattern here, the price tag and size of these amps will get slightly bigger the further you click through this list. If you aren't interested in digital amps, or practice amps, jump ahead a couple of pages.

But if you are interested in digital technology, and portable digital technology, then the Blackstar ID Core Stereo series is well worth checking out.

The guys at Blackstar seem to have played around with the DSP and have created an algorithm which pulls phase in such a way that this tiny little practice amp has a huge stereo field.

It really is quite impressive, and the price point is staggeringly low too.

I've been playing guitar for almost five decades. I've owned, and own so many guitars and amplifiers, I don't know how many. I'm appalled when I read, and hear what guitar players claim that one brand is better than another. Each amp, and each guitar performs a specific function. The best "whatever" in the world is the one "YOU" like the most, period.

I want to shoot the Fender amp guy.

He should take a lesson from the Marshall amp guy.

Watching the interviewer is great when he is with the Fender guy.
