Mitchell Guitars, makers of acoustic and acoustic-electric instruments, has introduced their new Element Series.
Rick Gagliano, Mitchell product manager, told us, "The new Element Series guitars are without a doubt the most high-quality, well-appointed instruments Mitchell has ever created. For the player who demands great tone, superior build, and a well-balanced, performance-focused instrument, these new Element Series guitars are a perfect fit."
Here's the story in Mitchell Guitars' words...
Designed for the discriminating player, Mitchell's Element Series guitars combine select high-quality tonewoods, premium oil-rubbed satin finishes, and exquisite workmanship to create instruments with unequalled playability and remarkable sonic character.
Element Series guitars feature solid spruce or red cedar tops with sapele or Indian rosewood bodies, providing a wide range of tonal possibilities. Mitchell's shifted, scalloped bracing enables each instrument's top to breathe and resonate more freely, delivering enhanced tone and projection. High-ratio die-cast tuners keep tuning stable, while ebony keys and gorgeous flame maple binding give each Element Series model the look and feel of a far more expensive instrument.
Element Series acoustic-electric models are outfitted with Fishman's new INK preamps and electronics, giving each instrument the ultimate in tonal control, along with a built-in chromatic tuner for added convenience.
The new Element Series is available in two combinations of premium woods: the ME1, ME1CE and ME1ACE feature striped sapele bodies with a solid spruce top for a traditional, punchy mid-range tone. The ME2CEC model is built with Indian rosewood back and sides and a solid red cedar top for enhanced low end, warm and rich midrange, and crystalline highs. Element Series guitars are available in dreadnaught and auditorium styles, with some models featuring modified Venetian style cutaways. Like all Mitchell guitars, they are covered by a lifetime warranty.
