Omnisphere 2.0 Is Here - It Broke The Internet

Version 2 released - store down for increased capacity   01-May-15

One cannot underestimate the influence that Eric Persing has had on the area of sound design and virtual synthesis. His range of instruments and sounds have inspired a generation of writers, producers and composers. Omnisphere is probably the top of the heap in those terms, and as we know after a long period of waiting Omisphere 2 is now out.

On the face of it, Omnisphere can be seen as a massive preset browsing machine with thousands of sounds created by top designers, but inside is a massively powerful synthesis and sample manipulation engine which has become more visible and accessible in version 2.0 encouraging the user to get stuck in and tweak.

It was released last night at 5pm and as of today, the Specrasonics Web Store is down for - increased capacity - no wonder, existing Omnisphere owners are gagging for this.
