StudioLogic have been working on their new Sledge Black Edition, and it appears that they are now rolling off the production line.
We looked at and liked the large format VA polysynth some time back - plenty of front panel real estate and space between the 3 VCOs 3 LFOS, twin ADSR synth means that you can't help but dig in and create sounds. The engine based on the Waldorf Blofeld VA synth voice gives you quite a lot of sonic options.
The Sledge Black Edition features a black case (as opposed to the custard orange standard) a new semi-weighted black and grey keybed, the enhanced polyphony of the Sledge 2.0 engine with 24 note polyphony, split and layer modes (2 part multi-timbral) an enhanced audio output section, synced LFO2 which means all notes can share the same LFO phase (one of our review criticisms).
According to the StudioLogic Facebook posts, there are racks of them waiting to be shipped out. Looks like the street price we've seen is set to be around £829 UK.
