The Behringer Model D certainly has launched many many thousands of words since iwas first announced, and then seen in the flesh at Superbooth this year. The ins and outs of the moral or copyright issues will no doubt rage on, but Youtube user  Synthpro is in the fortunate position of being a beta tester for the Behringer and also has a Model D reissue. Obviously there's a large physical difference, the quality of the workmanship, wood finish, keyboard etc, is not comparable in any way. But as for the electronics and sound. Synthpro gets them side by side and takes a look/listen.

Behringer Model D is expected to ship this year (we dont have the final date yet) but is certainly at a rather ludicrously low price  price of $299 US.

Physicality aside, what do you make of the raw sound comparison?
