TC Electronic are a company who know how to listen to guitarists - their first Ditto Looper release was the Ditto Mini, a tiny stompbox with some basic functions.
Then guitarists asked for more functionality, so they built the Ditto X2.
Then guitarists wanted more functionality, but in a standard-sized stompbox, so they built the Ditto Stereo.
The extra functionality includes the stereo output, but also the ability to plug in two instruments and output them separately in mono, but both running on the same loop cycle, which is pretty useful for guitarists jamming with bass players.
There's also the ability to import backing tracks, and export your loops digitally in lossless audio formats.
And as the icing on the cake, TC have asked famous guitarists to record rhythm guitar loops, so you can import a rhythm guitar loop from Paul Gilbert and have him slavishly playing away for you while you jam over the top.
Hear it in action in the video above.
