I've used the Core2 in the past with only slight glitches. I just bought an XP machine and found out that Lexicon doesn't support an XP driver. Now it's a paper-weight.

This is a great card for getting into digital audio; years of trouble free operation with an Intel 815ep chipset. The dbx compressors sound great.

Hmm, maybe time for an upgrade to a new card? naa, if it works don't fix it, right. I had serious problems with the card on the first install. Followed instructions perfectly, but problems arose. My uncle who is a computer engineer was stumped. Convinced lexicon it was broken and shipped it back to be fixed. They sent it back saying it wasn't broken. Tried setting it up one last time....it worked, 'What the F&*K?', I said. But wait the 48k 24 bit recordings produced an insane static sound.....time went buy and I had a computer crash, so had to reload windows...same problem.....just last week, August of 2002, yet another severe computer crash...guess what? It workz perfectly with this recent Win 98SE reinstallation. Dude, I have no idea, just glad to see it work, its been a long time coming....almost 2 years. I'll give it a 8 'cause I'm happy it works for the moment!

I just wanted to post this: I really don't suggest gettting the core-2 is you have an AMD processor. They just aren't compatible enough to bother with. The card isn't bad, especially for the money, and I was able to get 6ms latency with Cubase. But I do think it's shown it's age, and AMD users will have a rough time with it.
