I dont own one of the reissue 1176's yet, but I have gotten to use a couple and listen to several. They've done a very good job recreating the original and haven't cheapened it noticeably. As somebody who has purchased a LOT of old gear and has spent a LOT maintaining and repairing the older units, I really look forward to owning a new compressor that will require no "fixes" for many years. Heck, I woulda been happy with just barrier strip connections, too.
