If you're into the world of low budget ADAT, this mixer is ideal. The midi automation is also a major attraction for power midi users. I like these little desks so much I now own two of them and I may buy another to match up with my third VR800.

This mixer is a steal for the price range that it is going for nowadays. $400-$450. The routing features mainly go direct but with the VR800 Hard Disk Recorder (It's mate) routing can be flexible if you are creative. However, this mixer's got motorized faders, midi in/out/thru, built in ADAT i/o (so no need for an upgradeable card), allowable to have full parametric eq on all channels, FX, ugh.....so many features for a small digital board. What's also nice, is that with its motorized faders, you can use this board as a controller. Very nice when not running audio through it. You can even link two boards together. But for what these babies are going for now its a bargain.

You can find them used in the $450-$450 range. At that price, this mixer is a steal. Motorized faders, ADAT i/o, 2 fx processors, full parametric eq... there are some quarky routing procedures, but on the whole, you wont' find another mixer in this price range that even comes close.
