I use this deck for 4 and 8 track 1/2" analog recording. This mixing desk has very clean "edgy" plenty o gain preamps. I'd describe the EQ as crisp, clear, and frosty. I use outboard pre's and occasionally use the Soundcraft's. Overall this board has great definition and signal separation. It's perfect for analog recording. I have the 16 track lx7 version w/ 8 direct outs... Niiiice. it kicks butt on any allen heath sheet. Try one out.

Marvellous, warm sounding mixer. EQs are soooo smooth and buttery, and the preamps (Ultra-mic series) are rock n roll heaven. Midrangey, but just what I like. I record onto a half-inch eight track and this is the board for me. Had an old Soundcraft 200b but sold it when I got this. The difference is clarity was night and day. Very underrated piece of kit.

very good possibilities and routings. Unhappily, the construction is very light and finish very bad!!! No access on the second fuse! If your money can, choose allen&heath GL2200/24
