I have used E835's for many years. I finally decided to move up and bought an E855 and an E865. The E855 came in first. I tried it one night and called my fiance on the way home and said, "they ought to have an ad for this mic that says, 'are you good enough for this mic?' because it picks up EVERYTHING! It is spectacular (as far as dynamic mics go). Then the E865 came in... oh my god !!! The clarity and response of the E855 with the warmth of a condenser! The E855 is one of the best mics I've used... and it's only surpased by the E865.
