This is a first time for me in digital home studio stuff. The sound quality seems OK by headphones, but, when I burn a CD(on some old Phillips CD player recorders)I lose sound quality and the music sounds like it's comming out of a tin can. Any advice would be appreciated.

Its good. Give it a bit of time and suss it out and you will have great fun for your money. Sometimes I get a bit lost on it, bouncing tracks around, but it's only becase I made a mistake.

This is a really nice multitracker, and if you hook it up with the mrt3 ( like me ) it's even nicer. The thing about 32khz is a bit of a bummer, but hey, i can't complain
