Needed a one-in-all USB solution for my laptop so this one caught my eye. Although its USB 1 device, its enough for just two ins and 48/24bit recording. It supports 96khz but not both ways, only rec or play.

Two XLR ins that double as standard jacks, with phantom power, and limiter (!), all powered via USB. Midi In and Out, and direct monitoring.

Great feature: onboard loopback - anything playing from card can be rooted back to input and record in any program! IE, you don't even need Rewire to route from DAW to mastering,...

Sound quality is very nice, as much as I can distinguish, guitar sounding clean and "real", voice too.

Software bundle? Nothing. Nada. Ziltch. Hm, okay, not that I need it, but M-Audio packs some useful stuff with their cards.

This is one of the best, if not the best USB soundcard, but if you don't need the MIDI, you can spend 3 times less on M-Audio FastTrak. Not sure if they can compete soundwise, though.
