I have some songs in which I use wave samples (808/909) downloaded from the internet. I saved them in a folder, and then I dragged and pasted each of them onto the tracks (so i was retarded and didn't know i could formally import wave files). my computer crashed (why, i don't know), and the repair guy remformatted my computer WITH the wave files all backed up and saved back into my folder. i try to install cakewalk again and there was another problem, so i went to get it fixed again. now i have cakewalk installed, then when i try to reload my songs it says something like "audio/wave data/files cannot be found. missing data have been replaced by silence." now i have a bunch of really good songs with rows of colored blocks on the tracks and no wave. can anyone help?? i tried to load the songs from another computer, same message, so i thought i need to load the songs from the computer i got the wave samples saved on. apparently not. i would appreciated any response. thanks a lot.

Please help badly. I might sound a bit dumb, but how do I work the soundfonts. I have Cakewalk 7, and say one soundfont which is electric piano. How do I initialize that soundfont into my midi composition which contains an electric piano but in GM form?
