A great mic for the money. I AB'd it with the 421 and I liked the 422 better. It's slightly "hotter" and "crunchier." Very close to the 421, but the 422 "goes to 11" if you know what I mean. Also, more sturdy construction - it has a metal casing, as opposed to the 421, which I believe has a plastic casing. Great for loud guitars! Enjoy.
