It's a nice unit, very quiet, like most Yamaha stuff. I use it for the symphonic chorus, which has a nice touch, or the stereo delay which is ok for metal guitar.

If you`ve got to have an old Yamaha FX processor, get the SPX90 or the memory/algorithm increased 90 Mk2 cuz the 50D is an uncomparable piece of shit not even worth the space it takes up.
The SPX90 despite being a primative 36Khz 'one effect at once' box is still useful for grunging up dance tracks but unfortunately the 50D isn`t just a cut down version
