I'm unsure as to the cause of all these other users' issues but my Midisport 4x4 works flawlessly under 2000 with a M-Audio Delta 410 audio card...and I have individual audio tracks in excess of 400 megs! No delays, no pops, no problems. Granted I do run a PIII, 933 with 256 megs of ram. I tested this setup under Win98 with the same results...couldn't say about ME or XP. It gets a 9 because one time it asked me to reinstall the driver after initial build...hey I'm a perfectionist and one of the better computer techs on the west coast! When I build it, it stays built!

I have had problems with the Midisport and my Echo Layla20 (using WDM drivers). Also noteworthy, I use Windows XP and the Midisport is the only thing I've ever seen bring down XP in a hard way. I don't think the situation is going to improve, as it's been TWO years since that last comment about this type of problem from AlexG.

Easy to use, looks pretty cheap/uncool and does its deeds. Fits fine to my rig.

The Midiman site claims that you can link up two Midisport 4X4s to your computer and it will act as an 8x8 unit. The thing they do not tell you is this only works under Windows 98 at the moment. You cannot link up two 4x4s in Windows 2000. They don't have a suitable driver for it. Well thanks for letting me know ahead of time Midiman. Aargh!!! I will give this unit a two stars ** for Midiman falsely advertising their product.
