I've been using VST32 for the past 2yrs and still think it's the best sequencer out there. I upgraded from v3.7 and have noticed huge benifits - eq system, effects, layout, handling of audio and midi etc. I've used SX and Nuendo, but have no plans to upgrade as VST32 does everything so well! Okay, unless you want surround sound and the extra features that SX and Nuendo offer, it may be worthwhile upgrading, but for creating "normal" tracks, VST32 is defo the number 1 choice!

VST/32 is definately an awesome studio front-end, but I do have one complaint I have to mention.

As a frequent user of Acid Pro 3.0 and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.03, I'm familiar with how my P2 333mhz 192mb-ram Compaq can handle audio. I have never had processor overload or dropouts when running 24 44.1khz 16bit tracks (without using any plugins) simultaneously using either of the aforementioned apps. Ok, so try the same thing in Cubase VST/32, same Windows 2000 Professional machine, and (again with no plugins) the machine is stressing and chopping all apart trying to handle about 10 tracks.

My complaint here is that something to do with the (VST/32's) audio engine is hogging my processor to the point that it is unable to do what could always do before.

I like the level of control per-track and overall, but I'm let-down by the fact that it's so insufficient at processing.
