Honestly I dont know why everybody doesnt have one, I spin DnB/jungle and trance/house and it is simply Amazing. For a live mix it adds such a custom feel to every song, to every breakdown, to every note, you can freeze a sound and blend in the song as is then break down into the regular version or into another effect,Ive actually had people ask me how I got that version of the song, or where, and i say huh? I DID THAT! For the price its STUPID to buy anything else, I was thinking about a kaoss pad, of which I have NEVER used, but I knew a few people with this and they showed me the light. Im actually going to buy another one this week, one for a designated cdplayer and another for master control. I got mine used on ebay for like $80 shipped, my friend just paid 200 for a wah wah pedal...this wahs rahs and awws when you get using it like it should be, and carry it out like a real effects machine, not just waving your hands around, but actually taking time for a smooth deep breakdown, its great. A++ and it gives you some stretch time during a mix!

I got one thinking I was really going to love it. Maybe I got a defective one because I found it very difficult for the unit to pick up my hand motions at all. Trying it all sorts of different ways, I was just disappointed in the response ability. Maybe I was expecting too much, or maybe my unit was just frelled in some fashion.

Im givin this wild thing a 10 and I feel it deserves it simply cuz it gives me many sonic options with the wave of a hand, foot, or ? whatever....and its really nice when you are sick of pushin buttons and twirlin knobs for hours. 10 because it gives me a big break when Im tired and a lot of inspiration too!! Too Cool!!

I tried this today at the music store. Okey, might be a "toy", but it's very cool for live perfomance. I think I will get this toy. Okey, I'm a little bit dissapointed there's no MIDI, but I can live without it.

btw, I also hate rap, but you don't need to use it for that music =) (I make Drum 'n Bass, Ambient, and of course Melodic music of all sorts, ballads etc. The Air FX is btw very good for guitars) Personally I own the Emu XL-8 sequencer (I hate computers and will never use them anymore), and if I route one of the outputs to the Air FX thing, I can play around with a synth sound or a drumloop live while the rest song sounds as it usually does. or I wonder what my Waldorf Microwave XTk will sound with this one plugged in? (It also has multiple outputs)

I know a guy who uses one of these with his guitar. He waves the head of his guitar over it while he's playing to use it! Isn't that cool!?!
