Don't blame Reason for your lack of creativity or even talent. For its price it can do so much.

i have plenty of (digital and analogue) hardware, and i can make reason sound just the same....

I've produced some of the PHATEST sounds on Reason... the trick is to go basic and stay away from too much filtering and processing. Basic analogue sound is really just oen or more lines of sines, squares or saws.

Agreed, Reason sounds a bit thin on its own - I have just gone down the Mac/Protools route and if you combine Reason with the facilities on Protools Digi002 (32 audio tracks, real time audio processors, loops, editing etc) it sounds pretty good. I would recommend this set up - not that expensive either.
