I have a set of Pro Media 2.1's... the 4.2's are two 2.1's put together.

I am deeply impressed with the detail, very crisp. As far as having a flat frequency response? With an adjustable subwoofer, you can dial it in to where you need it... but I doubt it's very flat.

Regardless, they sound great and really kick ass for economy studio monitors. They're not Mackie 824's... but for the price, what do you expect?
