I will be buried with my 501's & 555's! Yes,..I have 2 501's & 2 555's! Mint condition on 3 of 'em,..and near mint on one of 'em. Hands down the best tape echo/delay unit EVER made! Best used for every application,..vocals, synths, drums, guitars, etc. Makes everything sound better than it actually is! This is the magical sound that is missing from most digital recordings today. I own several "Space Echos - Chorus Echos",..and the 501 - 555 series is by far the best...with the RE-301 following right behind. Of every unit I own,..No duplicates sound the same. I have 3 201's,..and every one of 'em has it's own character...same goes for the others. Love runnin' my Access Virus C through 'em,...aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.....PURE BLISS!!!

bought a 501 last month. perfect working order. these sound amazing, fab supa. used in techno/dub reggae studio. alongside copicat sounds like uppsetters. i operate reggae sound and use it as the most insane vocal effector. chorus, echo real spring reverb with rapid twiddlable knobs. it also makes a fat vintage preamp eq channel the bass that comes out of it i phat and fenominal. dont get one unless you got some digital fx too. best as vocal fx. listen too hawkwind, gong, pink floyd. 11 outa 10!
