I can't believe that anyone could slur the BR-8, in such an un-informative way. I know its limitations, being very little recording time. But if you have a problem with that...just copy the track over and create the second half of a song...mix em' together and hey presto!! Anyone who claims to be 'proffesional users' will have no problems using this machine although I feel it's a bit steeply priced. Didn't stop me, and it has encouraged me to learn new recording techniques. I bet the Beatles would'nt have moaned about it if they had it in the sixties :)

I have decided to purchase the BR-8,and would appreciate some answers to a couple of questions.First, I don't own a P.C.,just a decent stereo system,a Tascam 4X4, and a dual cassette deck. Is it possible to connect my Tascam with the BR-8 and use the mixing board on the 4X4 for mixing down, recording extra tracks, ect.? Will I see a marked improvement in sound quality, mixing down my completed song from the BR-8 to cassette tape (final product)? I'm new to "digital",and would appriciate any advice before I take the "plunge". Mixing down my material from my Tascam to cassette tape just ain't cuttin' it! Fred

OK, I've heard enough belly ache'n about the BR-8. Fact's good. It does what's it's supposed to do, and more than it's supposed to do for the money. AND NO I AM NOT TRYING TO GET RID OF IT! I wouldn't trade a thing for it. If you want more than your moneys worth get a BR-8...and if you want to be happy with it, take your time and learn how to use won't take long.

The BR8 is a nice, simple, carry away recorder. It's simple to use and gives a good sound for your money. If you are an expert and enjoy spending hours tweaking every level and beat of your songs, this is not for you. If you want to get your ideas turned into digital information quickly without fuss, this IS what you are looking for.
