mackie make great mixers with excellent mic amps for the price. the problem i have with the 8 buss is that it has only half of the features of the allen and heath gs3000. Which has many high end features eg phase invert multiple speaker switching etc pity it's not made anymore.

This mixer is highly over rated and outdated. I am sure at one time it served a purpose, but now in the light of what is going on in the mixer market it is purley a case of the sheep scenario.
