I agree with Altman. I have had the Mackies and found the bass to be so unreal. Mixes always translated bass light on other systems. The Yamahas give a true picture of your mix and the fact that the mid is a little OTT is a GOOD thing when it comes to mixing. I have the PMC IB1's for mastering but always mix on the MSP10's

MSP10's will deliver exactly what you put into them. Imaging is excellent. Compared to a pair of Mackie's, they will win you over hands down. Take a listen sometime and compare them to everthing else, I think you'll agree Yamaha MSP10's sound incredible. I spent 13 hours with them the other day, and my ears are ready for more. No fatigue factor at all. Highs are exact, lows are punchy, yet the woofer doesn't lie by coloring and boosting the low end. Well worth the $dough and your time to consider.
